Padclipse / News: Recent posts

This is the first release of Padclipse, a cross-platform text editor based on the latest version of the Eclipse IDE. It's a light weight distribution of Eclipse, taking only about 20MB to download and should start up in between 2 to 5 second on most computers.

Note that this release is pre-alpha quality, contains known bugs and is not well tested. But being mostly based on the very mature Eclipse Platform makes it actually quite usable. The Eclipse Platform base also gives Padclipse a level of extensibility and configurability that not many text editors can enjoy.
