Sister Project Now Up and Running

The eBook Writer for the Palm eBook Reader (https://sourceforge.net/projects/ebook-writer/) is the second in a series of software programs designed to assist emergency services agencies. The original program was developed to allow EMS agencies to convert their protocols into a format that could be read on a Palm Pilot PDA. This simple task resulted in Paramedics and EMTs no longer being required to carry heavy 2-inch binders full of protocols, but they could now have them at their fingertips in a lightweight, easy to carry and use, PDA.

The project was started in 2002, and was created as a skeleton to simply get the job done. Development ceased shortly after the protocol project was completed. About two months ago, the project was pulled out of the back drawer and dusted off. The source code, in Visual Basic 6, has been uploaded into the CVS section of the SourceForge development page. A web site should be up and running shortly.
