Hi all,

I decided to create an account and and this ticket because in somehow I wanted to contribute with PAC as I find it an excellent piece of work! As an IT staff, this thing is excellent.

I was having an issue when trying to connect to a SSH server using the automatic authentication. The error thrown was:

Argument "<password-here>" isn't numeric in subroutine entry at /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/Encode.pm line 160.

I previously opened the source Encode.pm trying to find out what was the problem. I didn't find anything so I keep trying things.

I decided to create a new connection and it worked. After checking configuration differences I realize that the connection that didn't work has the option of "Wait" to 100 ms.

In order to reproduce the problem I did the following:

  1. Create a new connection called A and set the Wait to 100ms.
  2. Create a new connection called B and set the Wait to 0ms.
  3. Connect A, and Connect B. A fails. 'B' doesn't.
  4. Delete B.
  5. Clone A but change the Wait to 0ms.
  6. Connect A and A clone. A still fails. A clone doesn't.
  7. Delete A clone'.
  8. Change A setting Wait to 0ms.
  9. Connect A. A does not fail.

I'm running PAC-4.5.3.2 in Fedora 19:

Linux monolith 3.11.3-201.fc19.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu Oct 3 00:47:03 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

If any other info should be added, please, advise.

Best regards,
