Hello everybody, Our last update was about 2 months ago, and lots of things have changed since then. First, OAuth2 (Google/Facebook/Github) sources have been full integrated with all other authentication sources (AD, LDAP, RADIUS, etc.) for tight integration with roles management: The biggest change was certainly related to portal pages and profiles. It's now possible to fully create portal profiles from the Web GUI of PacketFence, and also modify/edit all portal and remediation pages: New remediation pages can also be added, and automatically used from the Violations module: If you're interested in following closely our development, please have a look at the "catalyst-admin" (https://github.com/inverse-inc/packetfence/tree/feature/catalyst-admin) branch on Github. We'll soon start releasing nightly builds of v4, in preparation for the first final release. Of course, we have some remaining work to do prior the release, such as: 1. Complete the Interfaces / Networks / Switches and Floating devices modules 2. Dashboard improvements 3. Separate the web admin, captive portal and RADIUS HTTP services for better performance 4. Update the DHCP fingerprints 5. Formal integration with IBM's Tivoli Endpoint Manager - a very nice MDM solution We now target the week of February 18th for the release. As usual, your comments are welcome! Best regards, -- Ludovic Marcotte +1.514.755.3630 :: www.inverse.ca Inverse inc. :: Leaders behind SOGo (www.sogo.nu) and PacketFence (www.packetfence.org) |
