P2P-Radio 2.0 released

P2P-Radio 2.0 is available for download! After three Betas, P2P-Radio 2.0 is stable and ready for daily use. Version 2.0 includes support for Ogg Vorbis streams and the Yellow Pages system.

Compared to the last beta version, new command line parameters have been added to give you even more control. You can decide whether the media player should be started and whether you want to use P2P-Radio's stream signing feature.... read more

P2P-Radio 2.0 Beta 3 released

This release adds support for M3U playlists. It's now very easy to take a stream from Peercast and re-stream it with P2P-Radio.

To make P2P-Radio easier to use, listeners don't need to enter a bandwidth limit anymore. They can set it with a new menu item if needed.

The media player won't be started automatically anymore if you're broadcasting.

Also many questions and answers have been added to the FAQ. Try and enjoy P2P-Radio!

New Windows Edition of P2P-Radio released

A new Windows Edition of P2P-Radio has been released. It runs out-of-the-box (no Java Runtime Environment required!) and starts up faster.

The Windows Edition has been compiled with GCJ, a free Java Compiler that generates native executables. The GUI has been ported to SWT (Standard Widget Toolkit).

Unfortunately, the Windows Edition is not yet perfect. German is not supported, and streams can't be signed (but verification of streams is possible, you have to specify the command line parameter "-verify").... read more

P2P-Radio 2.0 Beta 2 released

Since Beta 1, many bugs have been discovered and fixed. Also the command line parameter "-dontverify" was added to turn off the CPU time consuming verification of the stream.

The Java Web Start edition of P2P-Radio has been updated, and the Windows installer is now able to display all messages in either English or German.

If you had no luck with Beta 1, it's the right time to try again!

P2P-Radio 2.0 Beta 1 released

P2P-Radio has made a big step forward with this release! It now supports Ogg Vorbis, the free alternative to the MP3 format. All active stations are listed in the new MySQL/PHP based Stations List on the project's website. Also the GUI has changed a bit and is more user-friendly.

New installer

The installer of P2P-Radio 0.3 had a bug. On some systems, the p2p-radio:// URLs don't work. The installer was updated, please redownload P2P-Radio and try it again.

P2P-Radio 1.3 released

This is the first release of P2P-Radio with NSV video support. Also some other important features have been added: You don't have to start your media player manually anymore - it's launched automatically. On Windows, P2P-Radio handles "p2p-radio://"-style URLs. And last but not least: P2P-Radio now has its own program icon.

P2P-Radio 1.2 released

This release of P2P-Radio contains two important bug fixes for Linux users: P2P-Radio is now fully functional under all platforms.

Also two new command line parameter were added: "-nogui" and "-consoleui". The parameter "-commandlineonly" was removed, use "-consoleui" instead.
