In your RELEASE_NOTES, that anybody interested in your live image
using a root fs overlay should write to you. I am so I am.
We currently use a dual-boot system, one of which is a read-only
recovery partition. I believe that, by using your overlay FS, we can
eliminate this additional partition. That would help us to take
advantage of modern features of linux distros that did not exist when
our system was originally developed.
How did you do it? Why did you have to do it that way? What usage
characteristics of overlay-fs required that approach?
I got this error when I tried to execute "configure". Does this mean
that I cannot use the distro stock kernel? Or that I need to dig the
dot config out of the src rpm that was used to build it? I will wait
for you to interpret this for me before I assume anything
$ ./configure
warning: configuration file, /usr/src/linux/.config, not found
warning: Active Kernel appears to have been compiled with modversions
warning: Kernel source appears not to be configured with modversions
Many thanks.
