I installed ovaldi-184.108.40.206-x64 version on windows. I am not seeing definitions.xml on the folder where ovaldi.exe. I am not sure it is bug or i am making a mistake. Should i install the version/build of OVAL interpreter ? Please advice.
I ran the command
got the output as ovaldi.ext -m

Sorry, it looks like we missed this one.
The problem you are encountering is because you have not specified an OVAL Definitions document using the "-o" command line option and it is looking for "definitions.xml" which does not actually exist as part of the OVAL Interpreter install which is why it is not finding it. You will need to download an OVAL Definitions document to run in the OVAL Interpreter. You can download OVAL Definitions documents from either the OVAL Repository (http://oval.mitre.org/repository/) or from one of the other repositories of OVAL content (http://oval.mitre.org/repository/about/other_repositories.html).
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
