Long time ago...
Outlook 2007 is out and it can handle rss. No wonder. But, afaik it cannot handle NNTP.
So i decided to _finish_ OutNews. (working with Outlook 2003 and less(?))
A first big release is planned in March 2008, so be prepared!
Any interested or motivated people (there is much work, the homepage, programming, testing...) feel free to contact me!
After a long quit time, I did it!
This time I started the right way and I am working continuously on OutNews.
I promise to publish the RSS-part the next few months.
Hows the project?
Project built automatically with NAnt -even wrapper libraries (e.g. for the Outlook Object Model) are autogenerated.
RSS library is RSS.NET.
.NET version 2
Developed with Sharpdevelop

We didn't know which Library to work with (Outlook Object Model, Redemption, CDO, MAPI33...)

At the moment we are able to Change Postitem Properties (SenderName, EMailAddress...) with MAPI33, which is a very big step because without this you wouldn't see who wrote a message to a NNTP-Server...... read more
As School doesn't take that much time this week we finally started our researches on RSS and NNTP-Libraries for C# and actually found interesting stuff.
Unfortunately we still don't know how to integrate our functionality into Outlook :-( mybe someone can help.
But a stand-alone-app should soon be available.
