"As for updates ... we're swamped with work this quarter and

Since the authors have been busy I have provided an
alternate version of ourTunes (based on 1.3.3) that allws
access to password protected shares.
Until such time that the authors decide to include that bit
of functionality, based on my code or their own, you can
always try the version I have put together.
Full source is available so you can make sure there is
nothing malicious going on with the updated version.
