Please Help me!!!      (OTTO version 2.0, on Red Hat 9,  perl 5.8.0)

My web interface seems to be working fine and songs seem to be playing all the time,
but I get no sound (neither on the server nor the directly connected client)
xmms is playing mp3s fine on the server, and, Windows MedPlayer is playing mp3s fine on the client.
Ive tried following the install instructions as best I could.
I can tell you what I do know

In my otto.conf file Im using mpg123(Channel 1).
Ive changed the permissions on /dev/dsp  (# chown apache.apache /dev/dsp)
On the homepage when I click on the link Listen I am offered to download a file called otto.pls.
    I dont understand that download.
I can create playlists and add files to them etc.

When I try to set up user Authentification, my usernames and passwords which I added with htpasswd
    are not allowed access.
However,In the terminal when I try to set a users privilege with the command:
    otto setuser 1 ollie 10
I get this response..    bash: otto: command not found

    Whats going on there?

    From the httpd error log:
[warn] child process 12620 still did not exit, sending a SIGTERM
            [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
[notice] Digest: generating secret for digest authentication
    [notice] Digest: done
[notice] Apache/2.0.40 (Red Hat) configured -- resuming normal operations

From the terminal, what does this thing < mean beside the S status?
    root   11722  0.4   0.0   1708  432  pts/0  S<   23:12  0:05  /usr/bin/esd
    apache 11725  0.3   0.7   8904 5012  ?      S<   23:12  0:04  [otto]
    root   12613  0.1   1.3  19952 8692  ?      S    23:23  0:00  /usr/sbin/httpd

(When I stop, then start otto I DO get the confirmation sound/jingle)

If you are having trouble getting Otto running correctly, you can edit otto.conf and enable debugging message by changing the 0 to a 1 in the Debug directive. This will put lots of debugging messages into /usr/local/otto/var/channel_<channel>.log

NO ERROR MESSAGES IN THAT FILE......     just a pid number.

Ive also tried the ices and SHOUT things but couldnt install something because I kept getting an error: is required
Even so, Can I not use mpg123 anyway or what?

Can any body PLEASE PLEASE help me????

To use this on a "remote client" (suspected intent due to mention of media player") you need to set up a shoutcast stream.
