#3 allow names to to be assigned to tasks

Allow names to be assigned to tasks. This will enable
other features to be built that reference
previously-executed tasks.

Note that this name is different than the names
assigned to task definitions. May want to use
different terms to refer to the two identifiers to
avoid confusion.
