#2 reduce warnings on solaris, oracle 9

This patch reduce the number of warnings I get when
compiling on the solaris platform with oracle 9i and
stl string support.
It is tested with Sun Studio 9 and gnu g++ 3.4.4

The patch is against the vanilla 4.0.121 version of
otlv4.h.

The patch was created by doing a "diff -c5 <original>
<patched> > <patchfile>"

The patch can be applied by doing a "patch -c <
<patchfile>"
