tclcl-1.17 installs lots of header files with "generic" names (config.h timer.h) so I want to install them in a subdirectory of my include/ directory. According to './configure --help', I can use a standard flag for that:
--includedir=DIR C header files [PREFIX/include]
However passing --includedir=/usr/local/include/tclcl does not have any effect: the headers still go into /usr/local/include. --libdir and --bindir look similarly broken.
Why not use Makefile.am and automake instead of rolling your own Makefile.in? That way you get standard back-end handling of standard front-end stuff.
