Hi Garrett,

Some samples can be downloaded from the USGS site :
http://landsat.usgs.gov/product_samples.php

Both L5 and L7 files are in GeoTIFF format + MTL metadata, in UTM projection (L1T dataset are already orthorectified).
Francesco, can you point a place with free samples in the MET format ?

Best,
Julien

Hello Julien:

We would have to get format examples so we could download in order to see what is missing from the support.   If they are TIFF then all we need to add is geometry support and not pixel support.   Do you have the full product examples for download?

Take care

Garrett

Hi all,

A question about ossim Landsat support :

It seems like some Landsat file formats are not supported by ossim.
Reading the code (ossimLandsatTileSource), I understand that it supports only the FAST format, and not the GeoTIFF products shipped with a MET or MTL metadata file.

Can you confirm ?
If yes, did someone start working on an image handler supporting those Landsat files ?

Our need is to have the calibration coefficients in a keywordlist (no need for the sensor model).

Regards,
Julien

On the basis of an IRC discussion, it seems the right place where managing
those formats is ossim, which currently lacks some widely used Landsat formats
(geotiff + MET/MTL files). Just for note, a very simple meta information
reader is currently available in i.landsat.toar Grass add-on module.

PS: Sorry, I erroneusly followed-up another thread with my past msg...
