April 15, 2008 - OSS Discovery 2.0 has been released in conjunction with the launch of the OSS Census (http://www.osscensus.org). This is the first stable/final release of OSS Discovery 2.0 and include the ability to find over 1100 Open Source projects and can submit to the OSS Census.
March 18, 2008 - You can now download OSS Discovery 2.0b1. This version has extensive updates to support the OSS Census effort. Please download OSS Discovery and try it out. Report bugs and enhancement requests through the Issue Tracker.
December 17, 2007 - Due to the recent spate of GPL suits around BusyBox, we've added a fingerprint for BusyBox to OSS Discovery. Now you can find out if you are using BusyBox on your embedded devices. We recommend running OSS Discovery on the development environment for your embedded device.
December 12, 2007 - If you are not familiar with the GNU Affero GPL (AGPL) license, you can learn more at the FSF website. The AGPLv3 has all of the same terms as the GPLv3, with one additional clause that applies when the software is provided as a service. Note that this additional clause does NOT apply for use of the software within an organization.
December 12, 2007 - You can now download OSS Discovery 2.0 alpha2. Keep in mind that this alpha version has only a subset of the fingerprints that we will eventually have. Please download OSS Discovery and try it out. Report bugs and enhancement requests through the Issue Tracker. On a side note: This version is labeled as 2.x because there was a pre-cursor project (OpenLogic Discovery) that was released as version 1.x.
