You can see what we're doing with Martini here: http://peel.library.ualberta.ca/newspapers . It could work with non-Olive XML files with a little work to develop a process to generate the input files that we ingest into the Solr index and the ones that drive the website. It would be mostly XSLT work.=20 Peter Peter Binkley Digital Initiatives Technology Librarian Information Technology Services 4-30 Cameron Library University of Alberta Libraries Edmonton, Alberta Canada T6G 2J8 Phone: (780) 492-3743 Fax: (780) 492-9243 e-mail: peter.binkley@... -----Original Message----- From: oss4lib-discuss-bounces@... We don't have digitized newspapers, but I've seen a demo of ResCarta= at the last LITA National Forum and it seems the application fits nicely. If you make the content also searchable, ResCarta allows you to provide that search capability and highlight the search term. Hello, I am currently looking for an open source software platform to host 19th century newspapers that have been digitized. I know of DLXS and Greenstone our being used for this purpose at some places. I was wondering what other software platforms people our using to host newspapers?
