between computers or from a backup to a reinstalled system.
When I do a reinstallation of SolusOS, or any other Linux distribution for
that matter, I install Osmo and copy the .osmo hidden file to my new Home
folder. I then launch Osmo. Sometimes all is well and I have all the data
in the .osmo file but at other times I find that Osmo is treating it as a

folder and display hidden files, open .osmo and delete the contents and then
open my .osmo backup and copy the files to the .osmo Home folder all will

Unfortunately, this does not always work and I have to repeat the exercise
several times to be successful.
What is even more puzzling, is that if I open the .osmo file in gEdit and
examine the contents all my old data is there but Osmo still displays as a
Although not a "deal breaker" it would be nice to know why this is happening
and what I may be doing wrong for such a thing to occur.
