Hi,
It's easy:
1.- What do you want to monitor? For instance a Brocade Switch
2.- Look for information on Internet. For instance: http://community.brocade.com/servlet/JiveServlet/download/17976-4375/53_1000602_02_MIB_v610.pdf
3.- Select OIDs for what you want to monitor. For instance: sysUpTime 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3
4.- Set up the monitor using:
a.- SNMP v1 & v2c agent with SNUS00xx events: http://osmius.com/osmwiki/doku.php?id=en:agentes:snmp0001#snus0001_a_snus0099
b.- SNMP user defined events: http://osmius.com/osmwiki/doku.php?id=en:usuario:gestion:funcionalidad#user_defined_events_via_snmp
5.- If you want you can set up SNMP trap events too: http://osmius.com/osmwiki/doku.php?id=en:usuario:gestion:funcionalidad#trap_events
Wait for a while and you'll see your data and graphs for your device.
Please let us know if this has been helpful to you or if you need more help.
Regards
Get the OID of anything you want to monitor and use it with SNMP monitor.
