I have just installed osFaq in an osTicket 1.8 installation and from what I can see it's working fine.
I just upgraded osTicket from 1.6 to 1.8, lost my FAQs and panicked, thought I'd give the latest version of osFaq a go and as I say, it seems to be fine. The installation instructions are, from what I could see mostly correct.
I guess though the disclaimer, your mileage may vary is warranted as I'm not an expert osTicket or osFaq user.

Yes to support for osTicket 1.8. I haven't had time to work on osFaq much lately but will try and give it a look in early this year. I got waylaid from the project last year due to work commitments.
If you find any issues in osFaq with OST-1.8 or have suggestions for improvement be sure to let me know. If theres any compatibility issues I will sort them out straight away.
For the next release primarily I want to improve on the document and attachment upload/management system and possibly do some integration work so osFaq data is accessible from the osTicket area for use in responses.

Tim, it would be great if you integrated OSFAQ into replies. I don't know if you've had a chance to look, but in 1.9, there's something they're calling plugins, perhaps OSFAQ migrating as a plugin would be the path to all future updates to OST.
