Open Source Disc / News: Recent posts

That's right, hardly a few days after the project started, we have our first beta release. It's still in developement, and it's nothing like what we wanted the first major release (1.00) to be like, but it's a start and we'll gradually build on it. While we are considering a Director interface, the current web one will stay until a suitable alternative is found, and the web one offers a fair bit of flexibility which we like, including javascript compatibilty checks (yet to be implemented) and embedded flash objects (yet to be decided on). Remember, if you like what you see, join the project and help make it better! If you don't, fix it and submit something better through the patches system, or join the project as well! We'd love to have you on the team, so don't hesitate - mail the project admin today!

On behalf of the team, I'm pleased to announce that a beta release of Open Source Disc is nearly ready. The first beta will be released soon, and future revisions will include things like ISOs for burning, autorun files etc. Please use the 'Feature Requests' tracker for suggestions.
