Problem Summary:
Even if a document in the Inbox has already been attached to a patient chart, users are asked to search / re-link the document to a chart when they click the "E-Chart" button at the bottom of the document previewer. Screenshot attached.
Expected Result:
If a document has been linked to a patient, clicking the "E-Chart" button should bring you to the Encounter Screen for that patient - it should not ask you to re-link the document to a chart.
Actual Result:
Users are being asked to re-link the document to a patient when they click the "E-Chart" button.
Steps to Reproduce:
(1) Upload a document to OSCAR by going to Inbox-->Doc Upload.
(2) Open the document in the document previewer by clicking the document name from the list in the Inbox.
(3) Link the document to a patient by typing the patient name in the "Demographic" field.
(4) Click "Save" to save the link to the patient chart.
(5) Click the "E-Chart" button at the bottom of the screen.
(6) A dialogue will pop up asking you to re-link the document to a patient.
Reproduced In:
12_1 Deb 156 (fresh install) + Ubuntu 12 LTS (fresh install)
Found a related issue. When the document is first linked, the URL isn't updated with the name of the patient that was linked. This causes "Not, Assigned" to come up when you click the E-Chart button. Screenshot attached.
Retested in Deb 362 - still present.
