OSCAR 4.1 has been released. New to this version is support for Mandriva Linux (Mandrake Linux) 10.0 on ia32. There are also numerous bugfixes which improve the installation experience for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 on both ia32 and ia64 systems. Our testing framework has also been extended by incorporating APITest. DepMan and PackMan are now fully integrated into the OSCAR installation mechanism. The Open Cluster Group is [finally] pleased to announce the release of version 4.0 of the Open Source Cluster Application Resources (OSCAR) cluster installation toolkit. This release features support for new Linux distributions (including FC2 and RHEL 3), new hardware (x86 and Itanium), better automatic RPM dependency calculations, new included software packages (such as Ganglia and Torque -- replacing Open PBS), and bunches of bug fixes and OSCAR Wizard improvements. The Open Cluster Group announces the availability of OSCAR version
1.2.1rh72. This release is essentially OSCAR-1.2.1 + RedHat 7.2
support. The intent was to keep changes minimal and put most
additions in the next major release, v1.3.

The Open Source Cluster Applications Resource (OSCAR) package version 1.1 has been released. OSCAR is a snapshot of the best known practices for building, programming, and installing clusters. Version 1.1 is based on RedHat 7.1.
