The oscar-disk makefile target must fail explicitly and
immediately if any tools needed to create the dist
tarballs are missing. On RHL9, this includes the
following rpms, which are not normally needed to
successfully install oscar:
perl-Qt
w3c-libwww-devel
w3c-libwww-apps
transfig
tetex-xdvi
tetex-latex
tetex-dvips
tetex-doc
tetex-afm
tetex
tetex-fonts
w3c-libwww
The actual test should rely on the items discovered by
configure, which remove distro variability of package
names.
