I ran Oscar unchanged on the experimental J2ME Personal Profile for the 
Sharp Zaurus...

This is difficult it you want JDK 1.1 compatibility, but J2ME Personal 
Profile supports a subset of the JDK 2 API and Oscar works fine on this.
