The OSCAM project is started to create an open source variant to the well known SCAMPI appraisal method from the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of the Carnegie Mellon University. OSCAM will be fully compliant to the ARC version 1.2 requirements (Appraissal Requirements for CMMI) and will offer an alternative method to assessing organizations using at its basis the CMMI model, but with a plugin architecture provided so that Agile, Prince2, PMBOK or other methods, models or frameworks can be added and appraised against.
