I have very good experiences with DevCpp-4992 with Allegro-4229
Both are small, easy to use and give good results.
Therefore I am glad that DevDpp is supported again. Thank you Orwell.
There is however a problem. I need code-folding for large programs.
Downloading DevCpp-540 is easy and is working for me in console-mode (Hello World)
Auto-updating via tools is also quite easy and in halve a minute Allegro-4401 is installed.
This combination does NOT work. allegro.h is not found.
I think that project-settings have to be adapted; but I also know that I have no clue how!!!

    Can anybody help me???

    Some recommandations:
    - Change the order of the sites where you get the new software. Planetmirror seems to be gone.
    - After clicking Check for updates you get a list of possibilities under the Update-header.
Here you can click again and will get ALL possibilities for Allegro-updating, but one.
The latest Allegro-442 is not shown, allthough available at DevPaks. Why is that???
    - After installing Allegro-4401 the updater suggets to update to Allegro-504.
Allegro-5 is however a complete different language and not compatible or portable from Allegro-4.

Simply copy the bin\ include and lib\ folders from the Dev-Cpp root (where the Dev-Cpp.exe ist) into the MINGW32 folder.

Yeah, or add those paths, Dev-Cpp\bin, \lib, \include, in Tools|Compiler Options.
