Problem

When extracting Dev-C++, your archiving program fails to do its job, and informs you that the compression method used by Dev-C++ is not supported.

Explanation

Dev-C++ Portable archives use LMZA2 compression, which was added to WinRAR 3.91 and 7zip 9.04 somwhere in 2009. Older versions of these programs do not support extracting of LZMA2.

Fixes

Please update your archiving program. For one, 7zip is just as free as Dev-C++, so nothing is holding you back to extract Dev-C++.
