More basic info?

I have a few questions that I could not find the answer to on the main web page or the blog. First, when it was Bloodshed Dev-C++ the web page had more basic information on it. Could this info be provided up front on the main web page. For instance on the old page it says straight up the different environments it would work with and compile for. The highest was Windows XP. I cannot find anything at all that tells if the new Orwell Dev C++ can be used for Windows 8.1 or later. I would think that being it is now a 64 bit compiler that it would handle Windows 8.1 and later, but it does not come out and say that.

Two, I have been in the computer industry for quite a while now but would not like to broaden my horizons and learn to program in C++ and believe this compiler and development environment fits the bill. Providing the answer above is yes it will run on and compile for Windows 8.1. I am hoping this is the case.

Three, I would like to know if there are any really small projects on SourceForge that I could download the source code for to help me learn how to program in C++. I have some experience in C because I was a build Meister in an environment so I would not be a complete Neophyte. Any help that can be given would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

It works fine on Windows 8.1. You should give it a shot. :)
