We are in the process of testing the next release of the ORS and we'd really appreciate your help. We've set up a copy of the beta code on a web site. Find your way to:
There are only two users initially set up: "administrator" and "shaver". Both have a password of "domybeta". Do WHATEVER you want to the scheduler (add/change users, add/change resources, change configuration even) and see if you can find bugs other than those listed in the current bugs page or if you find things which really tick you off. All we ask is:
(1) Please don't be malicious - don't try to crack into the overall web site or post offensive things. That will just make me angry.
(2) PLEASE don't change the passwords for either of the two primary users (or change them back to "domybeta" if you do). Also, please don't add a configuration password. If you do either, I'll have to FTP in and change those back by hand - And then I'll be mad and there'll be no more biscuits for you!
(3) Note that we've disabled e-mail sending so people don't do things like changing the administrator e-mail to "president@whitehouse.gov";. Instead of sending e-mail, it will display the e-mail on the screen. This is a FEATURE not a BUG!
Any bugs discovered in the BETA version can be contributed to the special Beta Bug tracker at:
(you'll have to log into sourceforge to submit items).
If you try the scheduler and discover something is REALLY WRONG with it (e.g. someone found a great way to crash it) send me an e-mail at jshaver@users.sourceforge.net.
