HOWTO written

We just took a new out-of-the-box Book PC and
Handspring Visor and built an Orrick mp3 system,
all the while keeping track of the software
we had to install and exactly how to configure
it. If anyone wants to build their own system,
follow these directions! They can be found under
the docs directory. URLs are provided for each
required package, so you just download and
install.

Also, we updated the Files section with a
functional tgz of all the source. It now
contains the HOWTO as well as a pre-compiled
prc for the Visor.

New docs!

Two new documents have been added, one is a general overview
of the Orrick Mp3 Project and the other a list of hardware examples.
We'll have a detailed how-to coming soon!

Sync two Orricks

You can now give the update script two NFS mounted
orrick mp3 and mp3_database dirs, and all files within
will be synced. Songs on one and not the other are
copied, then both databases are updated to reflect the
new songs. I have one Orrick at work and one at home,
so after ripping some at work, I bring it home and sync up.

Fill directories with mp3's

You can now run the server script with the --filldir <dir>
and --fillmb <N> args. They will copy N MB's of data into
dir. Great for filling your NFS mounted laptop with music from
your collection. The songs are chosen useing the Auto Play
algorithm, taking into account all your preferences and play
history.
