I was wondering about MS SQL Server 2005's namespacing schemas, and stratagies to model complicated domains. Has anyone here used NORMA to generate multiple schemas for use within a single SQL Server DB? Should we wait until NORMA can handle submodels and tie schemas within a single DB to individual submodels? How do you see this effecting the usefulness of the practice of keeping the db structure closely linked to the model, and adjusting the structure of the DB by making changes to the model, and then propagating those changes back into the BD? Is the idea of multiple schemas within a DB consistant with ORM theory, or as an implementation consideration, not an ORM issue?
Trying to get my head around the concept, and would appreciate your experince and thoughts. BRN..
