O.D. does not correctly read non-ASCII characters in
the names of stops read from SoundFont files. It
relies on vkeybd's sftovkb program for this extraction,
so when that dependency is removed, make sure that the
characters are handled correctly.
According to the SoundFont 2 file specification, only ASCII characters are allowed in stop (preset) names. So vkeybd is arguably doing the correct thing (or _a_ correct thing) by not recognizing non-ASCII characters. What then do we do with deviante organ sound fonts, like Jeux 1.4, which use non-ASCII characters? Allow the user to specify a character set and encoding? Possibly with a help ful suggestions from OrganDesigner based on _known_ deviant sound fonts? Or just continue to "ignore" the characters, and let users fill them in manually?
