-lorbitcpp does the trick! I also needed to include /usr/local/lib in
/etc/ld.so.conf to pick up the library
But 'orbitcpp-config --libs' still produces no output.

You also need to link in the ORBitcpp library. Run 'orbitcpp-config --libs'
to see which libraries you need.
