I need more information to work this one out. I can't
reproduce it, and since it was submitted anonymously, I will
close it if I do not receive more information.
I need to know if this still happens with 0.30.2, and what
versions of ORBit and glib are installed, as well as what
compilation options were used.

have u stripped the Orbit libs? that was causing a similar 
error on my box (slack 8 with gcc 2.95.3)

btw: running Slackware 7.1 
Kernel 2.4.5
gcc 2.95.3
ORBit 0.5.8

(get same errs with other packages, so it's prob me!!)
