I haven't touched the IDL compiler yet, nor do I really know how to tackle
it. I haven't even looked at it yet, as I figured I'd get the CORBA::Any
class implemented and tested first. Phil has indicated to me that he or
Andreas would be the most appropriate people to modify the IDL compiler
itself.

If you send whatever work you've done to me or the list (especially work on
the IDL compiler), then I can see where my work stands in comparison to
yours. Then I can try to merge it all together, or I can just step aside so
you can complete it.
