If you can both cool down a bit...  I found an old test-suite of mine
that pretty much fulfills these requirements.  It might not be
feature-complete yet, but it will probably provide a good starting
point.

  I'll rearrange it, and clean it a bit.  Then I will commit it to
CVS.  Tonight, probably.
