Jason, apparently the nameserver works fine! This is great news!

You can actually do a

namepoa=orb.resolve_initial_references("NameService")

if you specify ORBNamingIOR=IOR:... in your orbitrc! I'm listing out the
GIOP messages as I type here :-)
