    Hello,

    Don't know if this is the right place to tell my problem.

    I have webserver
    Debian 2.6.18.dfsg.1-13etch4
    PHP 5.2.0-8+etch11
    MySQL 5.0.32-Debian_7etch5
    OrangeHRM ver 2.4.1-beta.1

    In my VirtualHost i have disabled safe_mode.
    When first go to Leave and then to Assign leave i get this error:

    Code:
    Warning

    is_file() [function.is-file]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/lib/sendmail) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www)

    Technical Details
    Encountered the problem in /var/www/sites/osd/orangehrm/templates/leave/leaveApply.php  Line 187

    System Environment

        * OrangeHRM : 2.4.1
        * PHP : 5.2.0-8+etch11
        * MySQL Client : 5.0.32
        * Memory limit : 64M
        * Maximum session lifetime : 1440

    Please note
    The error was logged in the OrangeHRM log located in /var/www/sites/osd/orangehrm/lib/logs/logDB.txt

    The logDB.txt tells me this:
    Code:

    is_file() [function.is-file]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/lib/sendmail) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www) in /var/www/sites/os+d/orangehrm/templates/leave/leaveApply.php on line 187

    Any idea how to solve this?
    As i already said; safe_mode (open_base_dir restriction) is turned off.

    Kind regards,
    Jos

      Hi,

      I am not clear about the access restriction in effect. Anyway this happens because your mail configurations are set to sendmail. As an alternative solution. instead of using sendmail you can use SMTP.

      To change mail configurations go to Admin ->Email Notifications->Configurations.

        Thanks.
        This seems to work (no error)
        Will ask some people if mail arrives.

        Kind regards,
        Jos
