Tanel's Oracle Troubleshooting Scripts

Here is scripts and tools used at Tanel's Oracle Troubleshooting seminars

1. Create directories for temporary files:
   mkdir -p ~/tpt/tmp

2. Set up environment:
   TPT_HOME = ~/tpt
   TPT_TEMP = $TPT_HOME/tmp
   export TPT_HOME TPT_TEMP

3. Unarchive sql-scripts to apropriate directory:
   tar zxvf http://files.e2sn.com/scripts/tpt_public_unixmac.tar.gz -C ~/tpt

4. Move executable script tpt_help.sh somewhere in you PATH
   cp ~/tpt/tpt_help ~/bin/tpt_help
   chmod +x ~/bin/tpt_help

5. Create you own $HOME/login.sql file:
   @tpt/login.sql
   --
   -- you can put your own login scripts here 
   --

6. Using sripts

   Now you can use scripts from Oracle SQL*Plus:

   username@servername:~$ sqlplus /nolog

   Copyright (c) 1982, 2005, Oracle.  All rights reserved.

   SQL> conn db_user/db_pwd@db

   Connected to:
   Oracle Database 10g Release ...

   SQL> @tpt/i
