I am running in a root-owned cron script the following line nightly:
find /var/www/ -mtime -2 -iname '*.png' -print0 | \ xargs -0 optipng -o7 -log /root/optipng.log -preserve
This is otherwise great, but it seems that user-owned files become root-owned if optipng optimizes a image.
Option -preserve should prevent this, but does not seem to work like that in my case, am I missing something?
I'm running version 0.6.4.
