The current updates for the present version of the package Optimizer are described in the text files UPDATES.TXT (sourceforge.net).


February 24, 2026

  1. The main package Optimizer.zip (sourceforge.net) is updated: (a) a bug that prevented the construction of the design matrix with the analytical approach in some special cases is fixed.
  2. The application program package sPade (Padé approximants, in the folder APPLICATIONS) is updated: (a) enhanced documentation with improved manuals and code comments; (b) several bug fixes and minor improvements.

January 31, 2026

  1. The main package Optimizer.zip (sourceforge.net) is updated: (a) documentation, manuals, and code comments are enhanced; (b) several minor bugs are fixed.
  2. The INTRO WIKI page is updated.

November 20, 2025

  1. The auxiliary program package DigBit is updated in the folder UTILS: (a) a bug in the manual digitization mode is fixed; (b) program code is improved; (c) comments are updated.
  2. The auxiliary program package WIGNER (in the folder UTILS) is updated: comments in the program codes are revised.
  3. The auxiliary program package aux2bib (in the folder UTILS) is updated: minor bugs are fixed and functionality is extended to support both .aux and .bbl files.

August 24, 2023

  1. The main package Optimizer.zip (sourceforge.net) is partly corrected: (a) a couple of bugs, in rare cases causing breaks or hangups of the optimization computations, are located and corrected; (b) unnecessary avoiding warnings when working in Octave are eliminated.
  2. The application program package Split (Split-operator method for modeling 1D multichannel quantum dynamics and, based on this, optical electronic transition spectra) is uploaded into the folder APPLICATIONS.
  3. In the application program package sPade (Padé approximants, in the folder APPLICATIONS), the new auxiliary program sPadeChk.m is included, aimed to check and ensure desirable analytic properties of the approximant being constructed.
  4. In the application program package fgHAM0-(FourierGrid1D) ((Mapped) Fourier Grid Method for the 1D multichannel Hamiltonian, in the folder APPLICATIONS), the bibliography contained in the manuals is updated.

  1. The application program package STQ (modeling of optical electronic transitions in a polyatomic molecule with quadratic potentials, including quadratic repulsion) is uploaded into the folder APPLICATIONS.

  1. The application program DunTerm (the Dunham series for ro-vibrational terms of diatomic molecules) is uploaded into the folder APPLICATIONS.
  2. The application program RKRs (the Rydberg-Klein-Rees (RKR) method for a construction of a diatomic potential from ro-vibrational terms of diatomic molecules) is uploaded into the folder APPLICATIONS.
  3. The main package Optimizer.zip (sourceforge.net) is partly corrected for better functionality with later versions of Octave.
  4. The package sPade.zip (sourceforge.net) (Padé approximants) is partly corrected for better functionality with later versions of Octave.

  1. The application programs fgHAM0-(FourierGrid1D) ((Mapped) Fourier Grid Method for the 1D multichannel Hamiltonian) is uploaded into the folder APPLICATIONS.
  2. The updated version of the package Optimizer.zip (sourceforge.net) is uploaded.
  3. The new folder UTILS is created with auxiliary programs, which can be used outside Optimizer; the currently available programs are listed in the corresponding UTILS/README.TXT (sourceforge.net) file.
  4. Extra info is added to the INTRO WIKI page.
