#50 Google suggest is not working correctly
There is a strange problem with google suggest. Is the option use google suggest enabled it does not work.
When you disable optimizegoogle or just the option use google suggest in this addon then google suggest is working.
But it should be the other way.
The problem is there since yesterday night.
I use optimizegoogle version 0.78.1 german.
On http://www.google.de/firefox google suggest is never working if the option use google suggest is disabled. This is OK.
But if the option is enabled google suggest is sometimes working and sometimes not.
Enabling or disabling google suggest directly in the advanced search options on the google page do not have any effect if optimizegoogle is activated.
If the addon is disabled all is working correctly.
On picture and video search google suggest is also working (always active, ignoring the choosen option in optimizegoogle).

My bug report was ERRONEOUSLY moved here (it's below). The bug report for this page is about Google Suggest working the opposite of how it's set. I can't get Google Suggest to quit working at all. HOW IS THAT THE SAME PROBLEM???? There is another DIFFERENT problem below, where a person can't get Google Suggest to work whenever the add-on is enabled - that's also a DIFFERENT problem - and the EXACT OPPOSITE of my problem. - It doesn't appear to me that the person who moved my comment here knows anything about programming. (I have a B.S. in Computer Science, and years of programming experience.)
I was able to disable Google Suggestions by changing my bookmarked Google URL to http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=0

I moved your bug report here because I suspect it is a symptom of the same problem, which is a fault in the way OG reads/sets the Google settings cookies. I believe it is having different effects due to Google changing their pages over time and people using different Google pages. Basically, Google Suggest isn't working how we want it to.
[Aside: It is unfortunate you are disappointed in my programming knowledge as I am the lead developer on OG. If you would like to lend us your experience then we would be happy to have you.]
