I am using oprofile kernel module for 2.6 when i load oprofile module it says: "oprofile: using timer interrupt." then it doesn't let me set any events... I have : Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 Mobile CPU, that has counter registers, as it says at boot: CPU#0: Intel P4/Xeon Extended MCE MSRs (12) available Counters worked fine in 2.4, but now under 2.6 ... they do not i was experimenting with different kernel options and got it to use NMI interrupt, but counters still didn't work. any idea? bye andraz |
