RTC bug?

Hi All,

	I would like to use oprofile on a P4/RedHat 8 system. I think I am
blocked by bug 596315. In addition there are other odd problems, such as:

$ op_help
Unable to open /proc/sys/dev/oprofile/cpu_type for reading
invalid cpu type -1 !

Is there any way to get this up and working? Is there another instruction
level profiler that I might try instead?
