Error running oprofile

Hi,

I am using Fedora Core3 and I want to use oprofile to profile a program of
my own.I got the oprofile version from Red Hat fedora, and I am using
oprofile-0.8.1-11 and my current kernel is 2.6.11.

The problem is that when I try to run:

 opcontrol --init

or any other command, i get the following errors:

FATAL: Module oprofile not found.
FATAL: Module oprofile not found.
Kernel doesn't support oprofile

Can anyone enlighten me about what should i do?
