Does enabling CONFIG_OMAP3_EMU solve this? I posted the following patch:

to the ALKML, but I couldn't find anybody to test it. Unfortunately, I
don't have any OMAP hardware, so I can't check it myself.
Oops sorry I skipped that one. I am checking now and will let you know how it affects oprofile and power mgt.
