I have some odds and ends scudding around in my backups, not sure if I have an entire copy of the feed anymore though. Which collie image are you using as the feeds were built against a given image. http://www.openembedded.org/wiki/Zaurus was last updated ~3 years ago (though the links now appear to be broken), so it would be worth checking to see if you can build a Zaurus image and packages (i.e. your own feed) against it now. I'll have a look next week when I'm on holiday, drop me a line and remind me by all means! :) Cheers, Simon |

Hello ! I have a working installation of Openzaurus for Sharp Collie 5500, and i would like to assemble a mirror of Openzaurus packages. If someone still has access to the original archive, and would like to share its access, I would really appreciate it. My server is on a fast bandwidth and I would make the archive available also for other persons, which would still like to download the packages from it. Kind regards, Jan |

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO Look closely and you'll see these are kernel bugs. But I intend to do a restructuring of the BTS. I don't like the current classifications. I'll put it up for discussion when the time has come. |

From your list, I see lots of unsolved issue in Angstrom. You won't get a very useful Angstrom, at least, until the end of Summer. Of course, unless you just want to test and document Angstrom, which is always welcome. Why not use pdaXrom or Cacko for the time being? They've got all the programs that fit your bill. Hi list, After read about Collie 2.6 driver for SD/MMC [1] I'm trying now but I don't know reading logs if the card it's really working. The SD card is from SanDisk, 512MB. root@collie:/sys/devices/platform/locomo.0/locomo-spi/.0/mmc0:0000$ cat nam= e SD512 I think some way is recognized because there are related information into sys pseudo filesystem but I don't know if a device file has been asigned to the card cause I can't to try to mount. Attached is a dmesg and messages log. Hope this information is useful. [1] http://openzaurus.org/wordpress/2007/04/19/collie-got-26-driver-for-sdm= mc/ Regards, Juan Mart=EDn PS: I have sent this mail to the angstrom devel list too, but don't know what's the correct one. |

Hey Guys and Girls, I had migrated to OZ to try to get my Zau SL-C3000 actually useful. Never happened. Nor with the stock Sharp ROM. I have some needs from the kit, I wonder if there are any suggestions? I need a SIP client, and an MSN client. I'd like a PDA that can sync with my KDE desktop for contacts and so on. I NEED a Mme Player that works, for MP3 thru MPEG4. Is this a dream. or will Angstrom finally make my Zau a decent bit of kit? I CANNNNNOT code, but Hell I can write manuals! Bon x |

I would like to experiment with Zarus X server, but I also want to use my one-and-only-Z as a PDA. Is there a free Zarus emulator? I have used the ARMulator and it is close to what I want, but I want to hack GUI stuff so I need working display/touch-screen module. Pat ---- |

Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0) Have anyone managed to boot the images? -- Arieh |

Thanks to Henry von Tresckow (hvontes on irc) and Rolf Leggewie=20 (laibsch on irc) we bought 10 serial cables for Zaurus models. They are=20 too cheap on Amazon [1] to not get them ;) I decided to pay via Paypal to Henry, he will keep one cable and send rest to Rolf which will test does original Sharp cable works with Spitz model. If it will then one cable goes to Richard Purdie (his cable works in one way). Now the most interesting part - if someone from outside of USA want cable then please reply to this mail (only to =C3=85ngstr=C3=B6m list please). Th= e plan=20 is to send/give cables for developers which can not buy them via Amazon=20 or can not afford one but need it for kernel testing/development. Sending will be done from Germany (Rolf) to interested developers - you only need to cover post costs. 1. http://www.amazon.com/Sharp-Zaurus-SL-5500-CE-170TS-RS-232C/dp/B0000645V7 =2D-=20 JID: hrw-jabber.org OpenEmbedded developer/consultant Don't mind me, I'm just checking if you are dense enough to cause a tide |

I opened a meta bug for collie (bug 2148) and SL-C3xxx machines. So, hop over to http://bugs.openembedded.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2156 and report your bugs. Make them block bug 2156 and you will have an overview of what does not work and what has been fixed. One remark. We are very early in the public testing so you are likely to remark a large number of sometimes small bugs. But please stick to "one issue - one bug", no matter how minor the issue. Lumping them together makes it so much harder to know what has been fixed and what still needs fixing. |

I just checked Angstrom images from http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/unstable/images/collie/20070422/ and they still include the 1.4.2 firmware. As the kernel 2.6 on collie does not support USB yet, ssh over WiFi is the only feasible way to work on the device. -- Arieh |

OK, we decided to move from OpenZaurus to =C3=85ngstr=C3=B6m. But we have f= ew things=20 to do: 1. Checking OpenZaurus bugs does they appear in =C3=85ngstr=C3=B6m and corr= ect them=20 in bugtracker. It is in progress - Rolf 'laibsch' Leggewie maintain that part. 2. Moving content of OpenZaurus Wiki into =C3=85ngstr=C3=B6m wiki. This is not yet started. Scott Bronson and Simon 'lardman' Pickering are=20 OZ documentation maintainers and want to make that move. =C3=85ngstr=C3=B6m= website=20 is nearly empty now so we probably will need help to get it filled with=20 informations, news etc. Now it use Drupal and we probably prefer to stay=20 with it as LinuxToGo want to limit amount of MySQL databases to absolute=20 minimum. Would be nice to get some people which will work on website. We will not=20 run any www forums and most of core devels does not like OESF forums. 3. Moving developers from OpenZaurus to =C3=85ngstr=C3=B6m. It maybe sounds bad (developers like "items") but I want people to start=20 checking images, subscribe to =C3=85ngstr=C3=B6m mailing lists. =46ew more things will come soon. If you have anything to add - please=20 write. I am posting to those 3 mailing list because many people does not=20 yet subscribed =C3=85ngstr=C3=B6m ones. =2D-=20 JID: hrw-jabber.org OpenEmbedded developer/consultant Don't panic. Hey all, After using OZ for a while now, I followed the consultation about moving to =C5ngstr=F6m with interest. It's something I'd like to try out, and start working with.
