Currently the OXC style does not configure the color of items in menubar or context menus. On Ubuntu 11.04, the default system theme (Ambiance) displays active/sensitive items in white and inactive items in gray, expecting to be displayed on a dark background color. Since the OXC theme does not re-style these elements, the inactive items appear active and vice versa, and the active items become very difficult to read on the light-blue background.

I have (tentatively) removed the OXC style in trunk -- it does what GTK theming does, but less well, and adds a load of code which is hard to maintain.
If you have any complaints, feel free to tell me, but as I see it right now, there is no benefit in keeping the OXC style.
