I cannot reproduce your problem, even with 5.6 code. I show a dialog with a @DescriptionsList with an @OnChange and other properties, and when I open the combo it opens without any issue, and when I choose an option, the on change action is fired without problems.
Could you create a project with the minimum amount of code that reproduces the case and attach it here, without the WEB-INF/lib folder?
