Announcing availability of Open Workbench 1.1 release candidate 3, the first open source release of Niku Corporation's popular project scheduling tool -- Workbench. Open Workbench, the first compelling and free alternative to Microsoft(R) Project, is the trusted tool for more than 100,000 project management professionals around the world, in part because of its unique ability to generate schedules based on resource constraints. This release candidate (rc) includes several enhancements not available in Open Workbench 1.0 (available on www.openworkbench.org), including:
XML interface for input and output to Open Workbench
MSP interface to convert project plans to Open Workbench
( supports import only and does not include all data)
WBS Interactive outline (expand/collapse)
XP-style standard dialogs

Open Workbench 1.1rc3 is a pre-release of the General Use version of Open Workbench 1.1. Subsequent Open Workbench version 1.1 release candidates are anticipated, and will include bug fixes and additional planned enhancements.
